Job description
Doormotion is a leading provider of loading bay equipment, industrial and bespoke specialty door systems with a dedicated team of specialist engineers, technicians and operatives offering a comprehensive engineering solution, from supply and installation to servicing and repairs.
We offer customised services and products to suit individual needs, meaning our clients can enjoy flexibility and purpose-built engineering solutions. Products range from loading dock, security and entrance systems to rapid roll, industrial, fire protection and security doors.
Responsibilities
Commissioning and Installation: as part of the Field Service team, you will be responsible for all electronic and electrical functioning in accordance with product specifications. Highlight and address any potential issues on jobs at any stage of the process.
Trouble shooting and repairs: diagnose and repair any malfunctioning automated door systems using advanced diagnostic tools and techniques.
Maintenance: conduct routine inspections, testing, and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance and longevity of automated door systems.
Compliance and safety: adhere to all safety standards and regulations while ensuring installed systems comply with building codes and industry standards. Ensure all documentation associated with each project is completed accurately and on time.
Customer service: provide exceptional customer service by effectively communicating with clients, explaining system functionality, and addressing any concerns or questions.
Other duties that may be assigned as required.

The Role:
As a Trainee Service Engineer, you will be part of our dynamic team of experts, learning and developing the skills required to excel in the field of automated door and loading bay equipment. This comprehensive traineeship program will provide you with hands-on experience, technical knowledge, and practical skills needed to become a proficient engineer in the automated door industry.
During the traineeship you will develop the skills and competencies to undertaking these key responsibilities:

With head office in Tuam, you will attend work at 8:00am each morning and travel to client sites with other Doormotion Service Engineers, predominantly across the Connaught region.
